Visions, 2019, 2 diptychs 120x80 cm and 120x82 cm, fine art inkjet prints
For each diptych, the artist photographed the exact same shot twice but modified the focus. As a result, the viewer gets the mistaken impression that the wire mesh in the foreground has disappeared. It is still very much there, but simply no longer visible. These images question the relativity of how we perceive reality and the illusory feature of photography, that far from representing reality, shows us only one fragment of it, inviting the gae to be always on the move, like the process of thinking.
